Software

Linux offers a wide variety Open Source software tools for robotics development, including cross compilers (ARM, AVR, H8300, M68HC1X, Z80, ...) including the Small Device C Compiler.

Windows software, if there's no Linux port available, can easily be run under the following methods:

  • Java based applications
  • Wine (Windows Emulation)
  • VirtualBox or VmWare running Windows

To find pre-packaged software on Debian/Ubuntu, use "apt-cache search" and on Fedora/Redhat/SuSE use "yum search".
